Our week in review

Here is our week in review. I feel like we still have a lot to squeeze in before school starts up again. Today was a rough day. To relieve a little stress we decided to go 4 wheeling behind our house and shoot the air soft guns. It started to rain on us shortly after we got there. So we loaded back up into the truck drove around a bit and found another place to stop and shoot. Conner and Dallin got to sit in my lap and steer.

We have passes to seven peaks but it is so far and the boys end up playing in the wave pool the whole time. Next year I think we will keep our tradition of going to the Military pool weekly. Here are the boys playing in the military pool, don't they look so happy?
Georgia had so much fun jumping into the water over and over. She totally trusts Conner to catch her. He is such a good big brother.

Conner and Dallin got to go to Cub Scout Day Camp this year. This is Dallin's first year going.

She had me unstack them and was pushing them all around the house for hours.
This wasn't even all of them.
Conner decided to make a fort from this scrap wood we had. He worked super hard all day long building this for. He did a great job!

New Line Fabric is up and running!

Fourth of July

The kids and I had a great 4th of July! We went over to Tony and Megan Roberts for some yummy food and illegal fireworks, like we do every year!
On the 3rd, we decided to have our own little family party. By Conner and Dallin's request we started out with one of their favorite's: Mini Quiche!

By my request, I decided to give them haircuts. I don't know if this was a good idea or not. Dallin got a trim and Conner wanted his short.

We didn't do anything with Georgia's hair. We are waiting for her to get some first. She has a tiny curl in the very back. I could probably give her a mohawk down the back!
While it was still light outside we took some pictures. I am counting this as my Project 4/52. Here is Dallin:

Oh and of course I can't forget to put in a picture of my fun 4th of July decorations that are hanging over my dining room table. I love them, aren't they fun!

I haven't been much into big holiday celebrations the last few years because it is a lot of work. James is always gone so I get to do it all. What I've learned though is that it's not what you do it's who you do it with. I had a "blast" this year with the ones I love more than anything else, my children. And this is what creates memories. Happy Fourth!

Jimmy Update:
Jimmy left for Baghdad on Monday. He arrived there safely and will be there until August 2nd. His schedule for the next two years is a bit crazy and goes as follows (for now):
Baghdad, now till August 2
Home for 5 days
Military training for 3 weeks
Home for 3 months
Military training for 18 months
A bit crazy and we won't be seeing much of him. At least the kids have been able to spend the last 3 months with him non-stop. Georgia absolutely loves her "Dada," and amazingly has a strong sense that he is her Dad.

Conner Update:
Conner earned his brown/blue belt this month in karate. He is working very hard toward his black belt. He is enjoying Dallas as his karate teacher now and is debating if he should be on the SWAT team this next year.
He keeps busy with Cub Scouts and has earned 5 achievement pins already! Here he is putting ice down his shirt after the Lehi City parade. It was hot!
He has been an absolute pleasure to be around lately and is growing up fast.

Dallin Update:
Dallin earned his brown/yellow belt in karate this month. He has been working extra hard in karate getting ready with the SWAT team for all the parade's and performances they have been doing lately. Good job Dallin!
Dallin is enjoying cub scouts as well and wants to earn everything that there is to earn!

Georgia Update:
We ran into the Katoa's at the Lehi City parade. Here are Georgia and Vela giving each other hugs, soooo cute! They are 1 month apart.

Georgia is talking a lot now. She learned the word "Shub Up" (shut up). It is so precious when she says it but it is a bad word in our house. It makes me want to laugh and say it back to her but I have to hold back.
We went to Seven Peaks today and Conner would take Georgia over to the slide and give her a little push. She would go down all by herself, with me at the bottom to catch her, and she loved it. She also enjoyed jumping into the water off the side of the pool and splashing, which she did over and over and over! We had tons of fun.
Here is our little karate girl with a pink belt. That means she isn't old enough to start karate yet. She does stand at attention and will do karate kicks and punches, super cute.
Mariah Update:
As for me I have been busy working with a woman in Singapore sewing dresses for her. She places an order every Monday and I ship out her order each week. She sells them there and they are pretty popular because they are made in America!
I have been working on building my New Line Fabric online store. I am off to a slower start than I was hoping but I am having great success selling what I have. I have started to sell Pink Fig and Mod Kid sewing patterns and a small selection of hard to get paper doll fabric on Etsy. Once my inventory gets bigger I will put everything up on my website. I am waiting for a shipment of an amazing product that I will be selling in my Etsy shop. You can't get it anywhere else that I know of, I have searched everywhere for it and can't find it anywhere. It is Iron-on washable jumbo ric rac. I LOVE it! It is amazing! I have tested it and I think anyone who tries it will never want any other kind of ric rac! So look for it on NewLineFabric.etsy.com, coming soon! I would like to eventually phase out most of my items on MariahMade.etsy.com and focus on NewLineFabric.etsy.com because I can make more money and spend less time on it.
There are a lot of other changes going on right now with our family that we will be sharing soon good and bad. Sorry to all my friends and family if I have been neglectful, I am just trying to focus on some other things right now, but I do love you all!

Life is busy!

These pictures might be a little out of order but you'll still get an idea of what we've been up to.
Dallin has been busy with Karate and the SWAT team. He has participated in the Eagle Mountain Parade, the Saratoga Parade, Asian Festival and this Saturday he will be in the Lehi parade. Here Dallin is with Georiga at the Eagle Mountain carnival. She loved the boat ride, and went again with Conner.

Conner and Dallin went on a few rides themselves. Conner was getting mad that Dallin was squishing him on this ride. I had to explain that he wasn't doing it on purpose.

Today we went to Seven Peaks. We have season passes, but this was the first time we went that they weren't closed to bad weather. It wasn't that great, kind of cold, but at least the kids had a great time. This is Dallin in the lazy river.

This is me before we left for Seven Peaks. It rained all the way there and surprisingly they were open.
This is me and my Dad. He has been on a cross country trip this last month on his Harley. He was able to stop by for a day and a half to visit. I love my Dad so much, he is the best!
One night that my Dad was here visiting we took the kids to some military airport and had a tour of the Blackhawks and Apache helicopters. The kids loved it, especially Georgia. Here she is sitting on a tractor that was in the hanger. She was getting so silly. She would hold onto the steering wheel and swing her head back with her tongue sticking out. It was pretty cute!

Georgia loves "Go Go's" and got to sit on Grandpa's. Conner taught her that our quads are called Go Go's so anything that moves she calls a Go Go and wants to ride on it, it is super cute!
